I was new to Mobile and wanted to find a great salon that was up on the new trends so I looked around and found this place. I called and asked the front desk who was the best on coloring and I made my appointment with her. When I got there the place was really nice but all the the employees were gossiping about other costumers, about their clothes or their hair even their personal lives! I was uncomfortable. My hair stylist was the main gossiper, I thought "man, what is she going to say when I leave". She didn't do what I asked for on my color and tried to talk me into it saying thats what you asked for, no it wasn't. Well I thought that I would give this place one more time and the hair stylist one more try, then the morning of my appointment the lady at the front desk called and said my hair stylist had to cancel, I was mad but I told her I needed my hair done asap and to give me the next person who is good at coloring and she suggested Teresa. When I arrived I saw my original hair stylist there working on another person! I felt so mad I couldn't believe that she said she had to cancel with me but yet she was there doing someone else hair! REALLY? WOW! So Teresa rushed through my hair and told me one price in the beginning and a different one in the end, so sorry no tip for you! Plus it wasn't what I asked for! Overall the building is very nice and new, but the employees are a bunch of gossiping women that talk about everyone. If you ever went there trust me you where talked about! They all are overpriced and have no clue on what a true spa/ salon should be like, and have NO IDEA on what is in style or even how to do it. Go somewhere ELSE. Even Walmart hair salon is better then them and thats saying something!

I've tried two different stylists at this place, as I really wanted to like it, since it's so close to where I live. Alas, I've stopped going here, and here are the reasons. First, I asked the front desk person who was their best person with the most up to date knowledge of cutting hair. She recommended Teresa, so I made an appt with her. Not only did she do a very bad job, but she did it in record time, like she was short on time or something. I felt like I was rushed through. Upon getting home, I had to cut the long lengths of hair that she missed - this is how rushed a job she did! Apparently, she wasn't the best, she was the person available at that time. I called a couple months later and asked the front desk person the same question and got 2 completely different names. I went with Sudie, who was OK the first time, and then seemed to rush me through the second time, not even cutting my hair the same way. She charges too much and pressure you into scheduling an appt way too soon. I like to make my appts when I feel I need them, not at the time that will make the stylists the most money. On a side note, once I was waiting for Sudie and Teresa was in the foyer talking to another stylist about how she hates doing color for people, because it takes too long and some people don't tip, and how she likes to do haircuts because she can quickly get them in and out. Uh, yeah, quickly in and out because she's not doing a very good job, and maybe people aren't tipping because you're doing a bad job? I had tipped her when she did my hair, but more out of habit and the fact that I didn't know exactly how bad it was until I got home. Anyway, there's better places out there, so if you're looking for a good place to go to, I would keep looking.
